Returning SAS Students

Student Accessibility Services is here to provide academic accommodations for students with disabilities and/or medical conditions in accordance with Lakehead University's Accommodations and Access for Students with Disabilities and Medical Conditions Policy and Procedures which establishes standards according to the Ontario Human Rights Commission (OHRC) and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA). Accommodations are provided on an individual basis, supported by each student's documented functional limitations, a term that encompasses any difficulty in executing routine activities, such as applying knowledge, completing tasks, and maintaining self-care.

Students with functional limitations that impair academic functioning may request interim accommodations pending the submission of disability documentation.

Registering with SAS and receiving academic accommodations while at Lakehead University will not be reflected on a student's official university records, test results, academic transcripts or graduation documentation.

If you have a disability/medical condition which may affect your educational studies or you would like more information about our services, we encourage you to contact us.
