NSERC Grant-writing start-up workshop July 12th, 9:00 am  @ ATAC 3004
 
Thinking of writing a grant application this year? Come to the summer grant writing start-up workshop and meet your new Research Facilitator! 
 
We will discuss:
 
1. The all-important topic of picking a good title.
2. Finding and selecting appropriate reviewers.
3. Picking the right evaluation group for your project.
4. Strategies for thinking and writing your full proposal.
 
Our main focus will be the NSERC Discovery Grant Notice of Intent (Deadline August 1st, 8pm sharp, no exceptions.) However, we will be talking about general grant-writing principles that will be useful to researchers at all levels and in all fields. You work on Shakespeare? Come anyway. The grant-writing crunch is coming sooner than you think, so get started writing a compelling grant application now!
 
A one-hour presentation will be followed by a one-hour hands-on workshop. Come for the view from ATAC 3004, stay for the grant-writing tips!.
