About the Event

This presentation will first address the role of technology in the process of trafficking in persons, with focus on the use of social media in the recruitment of children and youth for the purposes of sexual exploitation. The use of technology in counter-human trafficking initiatives will then be examined within the 4Ps (prevention, protection prosecution, partnerships) framework. Examples will include online reporting and victim identification tools, remote witness testimony, and cloud-based victim/survivor case management and data collection systems.
