Lakehead University Media Studies students to present public showcase

Media Studies Showcase at OMAH

Students in Lakehead University’s Media Studies program will showcase their work at a public exhibition on Tuesday, April 5 at the Orillia Museum of Art & History.

March 30, 2016– Orillia, ON

The Media Studies Program at Lakehead University Orillia will present its annual Media Arts Showcase – an exhibition of media artwork produced by students – on Tuesday, April 5 from 5 to 7 pm at the Orillia Museum of Art & History.

Everyone is invited to join Media Studies students and faculty for a glimpse into what is happening in media art in our community. The showcase will feature works of video, sound, photography, memes, web design, interactive sculptures, and other digital media – representing the depth and wide-ranging interests of Lakehead students.

This year is especially significant as it celebrates the fourth-year projects of the first graduating class from Lakehead's Media Studies Program, in addition to works by students in all years.

The showcase is presented with support from Lakehead Orillia’s Office of Community Programs and the Orillia Museum of Art & History.

The Media Studies Showcase is open to the public and is free of charge. Refreshments will be available.
