Graduate Student Positions in Injury & Disability Prevention at Work

Exceptional graduate students with interest in the prevention of workplace injury (broadly defined including mental health injury) and/or work disability and/or knowledge mobilization in these areas are invited to contact Dr. Vicki Kristman for details on funding opportunities. Students will become members of the EPID@Work Research Institute. Both PhD ($20,000 stipends) and Master ($15,000) level stipends are available. These funds are made possible through a funding agreement with the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training & Skills Development.

Masters position with specialization in Social-ecological systems, sustainability, and health: Dr. Lindsay Galway

Lakehead University is looking for an exceptional candidate to undertake Masters level research relating to climate change as part of Dr. Galway’s research program. Possible areas of focus include climate change impacts on health, climate change communication, solastalgia, health adaptation planning with First Nations communities, and walkability/bikeability. All applicants to the MHSc program with Specialization in Social-ecological systems, sustainability, and health and proposing to conduct a thesis with Dr. Galway will be considered for an Entrance Scholarship of $5,000. This Entrance Scholarship is made available through Dr. Galway’s SSHRC Insight Development Grant.
