 Full-time, up to three years in duration

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a solid research background in mixed methods research, occupational health, and/or public health, and a strong interest in Aboriginal research. The Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada funded this opportunity through a Partnership Development Grant. This position will involve collaboration with a wide variety of experts involved in the partnership. These include researchers and partners from Lakehead University, the Northern Ontario School of Medicine, the Institute for Work & Health, First Nations communities, and multiple stakeholders.

 

The fellow will have opportunity for active research mentoring and manuscript and grant writing.  Responsibilities include engagement of First Nations communities, study coordination and supervision of personnel, participant recruitment, conducting focus groups, statistical analyses, qualitative data analysis, and manuscript/grant preparations. Applicants must have completed a PhD in a relevant discipline. Experience working with Indigenous communities is an asset. Multiple-year appointment is dependent on satisfactory performance.
