Sport Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale 2

John Dunn and I developed the Sport Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale-2 (Gotwals & Dunn, 2009): a self-report instrument designed to assess perfectionism among athletes. The instrument is founded on Frost et al.’s (1990) perfectionism framework and is one of the most widely utilized measures of sport-based perfectionism.

The Sport Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale 2 is freely available from my ResearchGate page and can be used without permission. It is up to the user to ensure that the instrument is utilized in an appropriate manner. The instrument has not been validated as a diagnostic tool and should only be used in clinical settings for informative/descriptive purposes.
