This year’s Education Panel will highlight research from some of our faculty members. 

 
Gary Pluim will speak about Global Citizenship Education and the need to broaden this curricular focus to one that recognizes perspectives beyond North America including Asia, the Caribbean, and marginalized groups in Canada and the U.S. Ellen Field will present her postdoctoral research project called “Climate Change Pedagogies in Uncertain Times” based on results from a national curriculum analysis on climate change education and preliminary results from a national survey on climate change education. 
 
Finally, Steven Secord and Helen DeWaard will give a presentation titled "Rise of the Human Machine: How we HUMANIZE while teaching with technology" during which they will show how they use technology in their Faculty of Education classes and provide ideas for using technology to improve teaching in higher education in general.
