Northern IGNITE will allow speakers to use a photo-only presentation when describing their passion and process throughout their research journey. This event is meant to focus on bringing Lakehead research activities to the community and sharing industry partnership success stories. 20 slides x 20 seconds per slide allow the presenters only 6 minutes and 40 seconds share why they are passionate about their work.
Speakers will be encouraged to incorporate the R&I Week Theme of CONNECTIONS into their presentations.
Who should attend? Undergraduate and Graduate Students, Faculty, and Industry and organizational partners from the city and region.
Faculties of interest could be Engineering – multiple fields, Computer Science, Forest Management, Biorefining, Biology, Chemistry, Nursing, Science and Environmental Studies, Bioinformatics, Anthropology, Kinesiology, Sociology, Psychology, Outdoor Recreation, Parks and Tourism.
This event is open to community members and includes dinner.
