To apply for free legal assistance from Lakehead University Community Legal Services, please call our office at (807) 346-7815 or toll free at (833) 503-7815.

Am I eligible?

In order to be represented by Lakehead University Community Legal Services, you must meet all three eligibility criteria:

  1. Financial
  2. Jurisdiction, AND
  3. Nature of the Legal Issue

Please read through each of these links for a better understanding of your eligibility for our services. If you do qualify, or are unsure whether you meet these criteria, please call our intake line (807-346-7815 or toll free at 1-833-503-7815) for more information.

We will schedule an in-person interview for you, with a caseworker at our office, to determine if you are eligible for service. If we are unable to help you, we will do our best to provide you with contact information for other organizations, legal aid clinics, or lawyers who may be able to assist you.

If you have been charged with a Criminal or POA (i.e., traffic) offence and have been given a copy of your Crown disclosure, please have it with you when you call us or come to our office.
