Description: Social annotation allows students and instructors to highlight and comment on assigned readings in an interactive way.  Students engage more with their readings as they contribute their reactions to the text and react to one another's comments on the assigned readings.  In this workshop, instructors will be introduced to a social annotation tool called Hypothes.is, which is available this year through our mycourselink/D2L platform at Lakehead University.  The presenters will provide an overview of the Hypothes.is platform and share a case study of its successful use in a 4th-year undergraduate course at Lakehead University.
