Faculty across Canada have been sharing their hopes, aspirations, fears and anxieties about the future of higher education in this country — and what they have to say might surprise you.

What does the post-secondary landscape look like post-pandemic? What do faculty anticipate about the role of online learning? What are they most excited and fearful about?

Through surveys and interviews of faculty members across Canada, Dr. George Veletsianos, Professor and Canada Research Chair in Innovative Learning and Technology at Royal Roads University, and his research team are uncovering some fascinating thoughts. They’ll share some of those emerging results in this webinar.

Key Takeaways

This one-hour, interactive webinar touches on numerous aspects of higher education in Canada from the perspective of faculty at our post-secondary institutions. Topics include:

•    Concerns about funding

•    Hopes around digital learning and equity

•    Questions around micro-credentials and collaboration

•    The optimist’s view of what higher education can be and how it can potentially serve Canadian society in broader ways

In the first 30 minutes, you’ll hear Dr. Veletsianos present his research findings and practical advice for faculty. The remainder of the webinar features a moderated question-and-answer session.
