Thunderwolves at Home virtual series

About

Running with the Wolves is a Virtual Run Club for both beginner and experienced runners!

Running from July 5 to Aug 31, participants will receive a weekly newsletter with running tips and tricks from Lakehead University Track and Field athletes and coaches, and Student Health and Wellness. They will be a part of a community through Strava Clubs where they can meet other runners, get motivated, and compete for the Leaderboard Spots!

This program is open to current students, incoming students, staff, faculty, and alumni from either Campus.

Club options

There are two options for signing up for the Running with the Wolves Program, geared towards different running experience:

Thunderwolves Intro to Running

  • This club is for those that are starting running for the first time, or are looking to start running again after an extended break from running. This program will help participants go from 0 to 5k throughout the 8 weeks.

Thunderwolves Running

  • This club is intended for those that have a bit more experience running, and are looking to compete and stay motivated by connecting with others through the Strava Club. Members are still welcome to use the 0 to 5k training programming provided, or an alternate training program more geared towards runners with some experience.

Leaderboards

Each week, we will be sharing the Leaderboards from Strava that include the Top 3 individuals for Distance, Total Running Time, and Climbing (elev. gain).
