It's Your Move 4x4 Challenge
Make physical activity a priority by challenging yourself to log 4 workouts of at least 30 minutes for 4 weeks starting on January 23.
We will be providing updates, encouragement and resources to help you with your challenge and you can connect and cheer on your fellow Thunderwolves on our Strava group (it's also how to keep track of your progress!).
This program is open to current students, staff, faculty, and alumni from either Campus. Students who complete the challenge will get a sticker recognizing their success and all participants who log activity during the challenge will be entered into a prize draw with the winner announced in February.
Q: Do I need a Strava Account?
A: Yes, in order to fully participate in the challenge, a Strava Account is necessary as that is how we will track your progress. You can create a free Strava Account here: https://www.strava.com/register/free.
Please note it is not necessary to purchase any of the subscriptions associated with Strava to participate.
Q: Do I need to use my phone or a GPS Tracking Device?
A: No! A GPS Tracker is not necessary to participate, as you can manually input your runs and workouts onto Strava using these instructions if you prefer to run without a GPS tracker or phone.
Q: What kind of activities can I upload to Strava?
If you are using the Strava mobile app to record an activity, you'll notice that the list of activity type options isn't a comprehensive list of all available activity types supported on Strava. At this time, the Strava mobile app cannot record indoor or stationary activities so activity types that aren't typically GPS-based are excluded from the list.
If you do not see the outdoor activity type you'd like to record, you can always record using one of the currently listed sport types and edit the activity type after uploading. Lastly, you can always upload a manual entry and select any sport types from the list of currently supported activity types.
Once any activity is uploaded or synced to Strava, you can edit the activity to change the sport type to any of the following options:
Please be aware that most of Strava's features are currently only available for our three core activity types, riding, running, and swimming.
