It's Your Move: Learn to Run

It's Your Move Learn to run is an 8-week running program ideal for first-time runners or those running for the first time in a while!

Beginning on June 13, participants will receive a weekly program via Google classroom along with running tips and tricks from Lakehead University Athletics and Student Health and Wellness. This program will help participants go from 0 to 5k throughout the 8 weeks. 

They will be a part of a community through the Google classroom and Strava where they can meet other runners, get motivated, and share their favourite photos. 

This program is open to current students, incoming students, staff, faculty, and alumni from either Campus. Sign up by June 12!

Register by completing this google form! Instructions will be sent upon receipt of registration.

Q: Do I need a Strava Account?

A: No but it's a fun way to track your progress and see how you improve over the course of the program. You can create a free Strava Account here: https://www.strava.com/register/free.

Please note it is not necessary to purchase any of the subscriptions associated with Strava to participate.

Q: Do I need to run with my phone or a GPS Tracking Device?

A: No! A GPS Tracker is not necessary to participate, as you can manually input your runs onto Strava using these instructions if you prefer to run without a GPS tracker or phone.
