Draw the Line Against Transphobic Violence- Educators and Leaders

Event Date:
Thursday, November 18, 2021 - 7:00pm to 8:30pm EST
Event Location:
Online

This session is offered by Egale, Canada’s leading organization for 2SLGBTQI people and issues.

Cultures of normalized transphobic and sexual violence present in school communities produce toxic conditions, not just for trans and nonbinary students, but for all students.

This interactive, 90-minute, instructor-led webinar will help participants recognize and intervene in these harmful dynamics, and build skills for fostering cultures of consent, gender inclusion, and healthier relationships overall.

Participants will leave the session both motivated to continue this important work in their own school communities and equipped with further resources and tools to turn their learning into action.

This session is designed for educators, administrators, and staff in both secondary and post-secondary schools.

Please note that having a foundational understanding of trans identities and gender diversity prior to the session is recommended.
