Alison Parsons, Naturopathic Doctor
Alison Parsons has been helping patients attain their optimal level of health since she graduated as a Naturopathic Doctor in 2009 from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. Up to that time she had been completing her Honours Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Guelph. Given her 8 years of post-secondary education, Alison feels she knows the ins and outs of what it’s like to be a student; for this reason she truly enjoys treating and can empathize with her student patients on campus. She has been the practicing Naturopathic Doctor on campus since 2012 and has since seen many students through stressful situations (exams, student life, etc.), digestive disorders (such as irritable bowel, heartburn and inflammatory bowel disease), skin concerns (such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, and herpes outbreaks), insomnia and other sleep-related concerns. This is not a complete list as Naturopathic Doctors can help with all aspects of health, including health prevention and promotion; she encourages all health-conscious students to make an appointment, even when they don’t necessarily have a major concern.
