Prerequisite Requirements for HBComm Transfer

Business Administration college transfer students, who are interested in pursuing the Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree, must complete certain course content in order to be considered for admission. The following chart contains subjects that must be completed. Applicants who are missing certain subjects, but are otherwise admissible, may be conditionally admitted with make-up courses that can be completed as part of the transfer program. Some of the make-up courses must be completed prior to the start of the program.

Content of college courses should be similar to Lakehead's Business 1012 (Financial Accounting) & Business 2012 (Management Accounting)

Management*

Content of college courses should be similar to Lakehead's Business 1011 (Introduction to Management)

Communications (Writing & Presentations) 

Content of college courses should be similar to Lakehead's Business 1011 (Business Writing I), Business 2031 (Business Writing II) and Business 2051 (Business Presentations)

Organizational Behaviour

Content of college courses should be similar to Lakehead's Business 2038 (Introduction to Organizational Behaviour)

Computing & Info. Systems (Basic Computing* & M.I.S.) 

Content of college courses should be similar to Lakehead's Business 1013 (Business Computing) Business 2033 (Management Information Systems)

Operations Management  

Content of college courses should be similar to Lakehead's Business 2016 (Operations Management I)

Economics (Micro* & Macro*)

Content of college courses should be similar to Lakehead's Economics 1100 (Principles of Economics)

 

Finance (Excludes Personal)

Content of college courses should be similar to Lakehead's Business 2019 (Finance I) and Business 2039 (Finance II)

 

Marketing

Statistics*
