About the Event

Henry Aldrich was a visionary, a creative mastermind who not only collected nearly 8,000 musical manuscripts, but also had a penchant for architectural drawings, logic and mathematics. This former Dean of Christ Church inspired Lakehead Orillia Campus Principal, Dr. Dean Jobin-Bevans, to spearhead The Henry Aldrich Choral Project, which recently released a CD recording through which, for the first time, we are able to hear Aldrich's original sacred choral music. Come listen to how this incredible polymath structured English Cathedral choral music during a period of restoration in the later part of the 17th century, and learn a little bit about what continues to inspire innovation in the Office of the Principal.
