Janice Burke

Janice has worked for more than 30 years on a variety of interdisciplinary research programs in the fields of limnology, forestry, soil science, hydrology, microbiology, and engineering from the conceptual stage through to publication in the primary literature. She has extensive experience writing and editing grant proposals and progress reports, particularly for NSERC and CFI. She has worked closely with graduate students, including those for whom English is a second language, and facilitated the publication of their thesis work in the primary literature. She is co-author on more than 30 peer-reviewed publications and has reviewed manuscripts for scientific journals. She has also contributed to government documents such as provincial Forest Management Plans, and drafted web content, conference abstracts and papers, oral and poster presentations, technical guides, and book chapters.
