Collaborative Research and Training Experience (CREATE) program

How to Apply:

The Collaborative Research and Training Experience (CREATE) program supports the training and mentoring of teams of highly qualified students and postdoctoral fellows from Canada and abroad through the development of innovative training programs that

  • encourage collaborative and integrative approaches, and address significant scientific challenges associated with Canada’s research priorities
  • facilitate the transition of new researchers from trainees to productive employees in the Canadian workforce

Please note that as in the past, Lakehead University has a quota of two letters of intent that it can submit to this competition.  If you anticipate that you will be submitting a LOI to this program, you are asked to notify the Office of Research Services (ahacquo1@lakeheadu.ca) by February 12, 2022 of your intention to apply to this opportunity.  If more than two teams indicate that they are submitting an LOI to the CREATE program, then it is likely that an internal competition will need to be held to determine which LOIs are being submitted to NSERC.
