EUREKA – Advanced materials 2020-2021 multilateral call for proposals

EUREKA has launched a multilateral call for proposals for joint research and development (R&D) projects on advanced materials. Participating countries include Austria, Belgium (Flanders, Wallonia), Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Hungary, Luxembourg, Malta, South Korea, Spain, Turkey, and the United Kingdom.

Open to:

• small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)
• large enterprises and industries
• universities
• research organizations
• others

Only eligible Canadian SMEs can receive funding through NRC IRAP. All other Canadian participants must secure funding from other sources or be self-funded.

Sectors of focus:

• Advanced materials projects focussed on the following technologies/industries:
  • Carbon industry and chemistry, including lightweight materials, composites and recycle of plastics as well as nanomaterials and plastic materials
  • Machinery, robots, and metal industry
  • Secondary batteries and sensor technology (including energy storage)
  • Semiconductors and display
