COVID-19 Research Application Portal
UPDATE: (June 25, 2021) Resumption of In-Person Research and Activities
The Research Ethics Board (REB) and the COVID-19 Advisory Review Committee (C19ARC) have lifted the suspension for in-person (face-to-face) research and/or activities under the purview of the Office of the Vice-President, Research & Innovation. The REB and the C19ARC have begun accepting applications involving research/activities which involve face-to-face research that cannot be conducted remotely. Both a participant and researcher safety plan is required, along with a justification for the need to conduct the research/activity face-to-face.
- For REB applications: a COVID-19 Measures Form is included with the REB application and will provide specific information on documentation required.
- For C19ARC applications (these are activities that take place under the purview of the VPRI but aren't classified as research), please see the application form here (section 2.3 & 2.4).
The REB and the C19ARC may revisit this decision should the COVID-19 pandemic situation deteriorate.
