This workshop for faculty members will explain how to effectively address the evaluation criteria and craft a strong application to  the SSHRC Insight Development Grant or Insight Grant competitions. Although the grants are very similar in many respects, key differences will also be explored, with specific strategies for early career and experienced researchers.

Internal deadlines are coming up for these grants on October 1, 2019 (IG) and January 20th, 2020 (IDG).

The workshop will be facilitated by Dr. PhebeAnn Wolframe-Smith, Research and Knowledge Mobilization Facilitator, with guest Dr. Valerie Hébert, Associate Professor in Interdisciplinary Studies, who has experience serving as an IDG evaluation committee member.

Light refreshments will be served.

The workshop will run concurrently in Thunder Bay and Orillia with physical and virtual presences in each session.

For Thunder Bay, please RSVP to PhebeAnn at sshrc.research@lakeheadu.ca by Monday, September 9th.

For Orillia, please RSVP to Dr. Rebecca Heffernan at orillia.research@lakeheadu.ca by Monday, September 9th.
