Research Data Management

This 45 minute session will introduce participants to services offered by the Library to support researchers who need to manage datasets. The Tri-Agency Statement of Principles on Digital Data Management encourages data management planning as well as sharing and reusing datasets where possible to strengthen the research environment in Canada.

In this session, we will look at the components of a data management plan (DMP); online tools to create DMPs; considerations for sharing datasets such as metadata creation, privacy and intellectual property issues; and, preservation and storage options for datasets.
