"Intelligent Softcomputing Techniques for System State Prognostics" - Distinguished Researcher Talk - Dr. Wilson Wang

Event Date:
Wednesday, March 7, 2018 - 1:00pm
Event Location:
ATAC 5036

About the Talk
Artificial intelligence (AI) and soft computing have become the subject of rapidly growing interest in a wide range of scientific and engineering fields. In this speech, a neuro-fuzzy system is implemented for machinery health condition monitoring and dynamic system state forecasting. Appropriate machine learning algorithm is used properly to improve predictor convergence and forecasting accuracy.

About the Speaker
Dr. Wang’s research interests pertain to the development of new technologies and intelligent tools for diagnostics, prognostics and systems control. It is an interdisciplinary research field including mechanical, electrical, and computer engineering. He has published more than 100 articles in refereed journals. He is also a fellow of International Society of Engineering Asset Management.
