ATAC 5036 (Orillia faculty members can participate in OA 3041)
On August 31st, 2016, Tyson Gofton (Research Facilitator) will be hosting a health-related research forum from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm ATAC 5036 at the Thunder Bay campus. Health researchers at Orillia (we know you're out there!) are invited to attend by telepresence at OA 3041.
Finding funding in the health sciences can be difficult and is more complicated than in other fields. The aim of this forum will be to discuss approaches to funding health-related research. This is a great opportunity to learn about what the Office of Research Services can do for you, get ideas about how you can reach out to advance your research, and share your challenges and successes with us.
Here is a provisional agenda:
1. An update on ongoing challenges at CIHR
2. Finding funding beyond CIHR and SSHRC
3. Indirect approaches to funding
4. Open session to discuss challenges and solutions
We want to hear about your challenges and successes to provide you with our best support. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to attend. Feel free to suggest topics that you would like to discuss.
