Overview of Research

Interdisciplinary arts integrated research projects bring together researchers from different fields to find innovative ways to view, analyze, represent and disseminate research. Artist-researchers use stories, plays, documentaries, paintings, poetry and other modes to help researchers make meaning of the data they are working with and to support communication across communities. Dr. Pauline Sameshima believes that research teams guided by creative, compassionate and receptive mindsets not only support deepened data analysis strategies but also facilitate knowledge mobilization of research with the broader public.
