Graduate Studies Program Change/Program Withdrawal

A current graduate student can request a program change or program withdrawal by completing the Graduate Request for Program Change/Withdrawal Form

Current graduate students wishing to change from one graduate program/degree major to another in the same department/school (e.g. Control Engineering to Electrical & Computer Engineering) can apply for a program change by identifying on the form their current active graduate program, the name of the program they wish to change to, selecting the program change option, and obtaining all required signatures for approval of the change

Current graduate students can officially withdraw from their program by identifying on the form their current active graduate program, selecting the withdrawal option, and obtaining all required signatures for approval of the withdrawal.

Current graduate students wishing to change from one graduate program/degree major to another in a different department/school (e.g. Biology to Environmental Engineering) must first withdraw from their current active program by completing the withdrawal form and then reapply for admission to the new program by submitting an application package.
