A Public Lecture hosted by neuRIG (Neuroscience Research Interest Group) at Lakehead University with the support of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Department of Philosophy.
Dr. Georg Northoff is a philosopher, neuroscientist and psychiatrist, holding degrees in all three disciplines. He is one of the leading figures in linking philosophy and neuroscience and is the author of 260 journal articles and 16 books, including his newest,The Spontaneous Brain. He is the EJLB-CIHR Michael Smith Chair in Neurosciences and Mental Health and holds a Canada Research Chair for Mind, Brain Imaging and Neuroethics at the University of Ottawa Institute of Mental Health Research (IMHR).
