The Department of Anthropology will be hosting one of the departments alumni and most recent faculty member Dr Mat Tocheri, Canadian Research Chair in Human Origins. Drop by to the Virtual Reality Environment (LUVRE) in the ATAC building at AT5040 to see cutting edge 3D research at Liang Bua the archaeological cave site where the “hobbits” Homo floresiensis were discovered. See how virtual reality can be integrated into archaeology. A display of Hominin castes will be on display as well. Come and talk to Dr Tocheri also recently involved in the Homo naledi identification featured on the new recently.
