Jonathan was born at Moose Factory General Hospital and was raised in Kashechewan all his life. His wife Linda begat 4 children and have 18 wonderful grandchildren. Both his wife Linda have raised their children in Kashechewan and now their children are raising their children. Jonathan is a former Chief of Kashechewan First Nation in which he served 2 terms/6 years. He is also the former Grand Chief of Mushkegowuk Council of 6 years. His passion is to be out on the land and doing things in the bush like cutting wood. He's an avid hunter and plays the guitar and sing. Jonathan is passionate about the Treaty and the history of the oral stories that he heard from the Elders. Jonathan is also the great-great grandfather of Andrew Wesley who was signatory to Treaty Number 9 which was signed at the Old Post in Albany in August 1905. But the most important thing of all of Jonathan is he's a diehard Toronto Maple Leaf fan! How does that grab you?
