Maadaadizi 2022 - Saturday, September 10, 2022

The Indigenous Student Services Centre, in conjunction with Oshki-Pimache-O-Win; the Wenjack Education Institute, Confederation College, Seven Generations Education Institute, Matawa Post-Secondary Education, Northern Nishnawbe Education Council, and Eabametoong First Nation have planned and organized Maadaadizi 2022 which means starts a journey in the Ojibwe language.

We’re excited to once again host this event in-person at Marina Park on Saturday, September 10, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. We have set aside this special day to welcome post-secondary Indigenous students and their families to their respective institutions and to the City of Thunder Bay.

Pam Palmater is our Keynote Speaker and the day will include musical performances by Keith Secola and Nick Sherman. Information booths by various organizations will be set-up, children’s activities, prizes and refreshments will be available. This event is free and everyone is welcome to attend. We hope to see you there, rain or shine!
