It is the Policy of Lakehead University to establish and administer equitable remuneration schedules for its part-time employees related to the nature of the work to be performed, the anticipated duration of employment and the skills, abilities and experience of the employee.
The Department of Human Resources is responsible for the determination, administration, and periodic review of the rates of remuneration applicable to part-time and casual employees. All questions relating to rates of pay and conditions of employment for part-time or casual employees can be answered by Human Resources at extension 8578.
Requirements for part-time or casual employees should be coordinated through Human Resources in order that University hiring practices and contractual obligations are met.
