Absenteeism, Inclement Weather

In order to have some administrative consistency in handling the matter of employees who do not attend work due to inclement weather, the following policy will apply:

Employees subject to pay loss could apply a vacation day, accumulated overtime, or make arrangements, appropriate to their supervisor, to make up for time lost or to off set the monetary loss.

All employees working shifts that fall outside normal University working hours must check with their supervisors to confirm their working schedule for any working day.
In the event the University is closed due to inclement weather or some other unusual circumstances, Faculty and Staff will be paid. Faculty or Staff required to work when the University is closed due to inclement weather or some other unusual circumstances will be compensated according to their collective agreement.
