Pets on Campus Policy


Policy Statement

Lakehead University is committed to providing an attractive, clean and safe environment. To assist in the achievement of these objectives, the University will regulate the presence of pets on each of its campuses.

For the purpose of this policy, pets are defined as any domestic or tamed animals, birds, snakes, reptiles and amphibians.

This policy has been established for the preservation of historical documents on Lakehead University and cooperation is needed in putting this policy into practice. At this time the Chancellor Paterson Library is prepared to accept a limited amount of historical material for storage in the Library.

Email Policy of Lakehead University


1.0       General Overview

The University assigned email account shall be an official means of communication with all students, faculty, and staff.  Email accounts are available for Faculty, staff, students and alumni.  Users are responsible for all information sent to them via their University assigned email account.  Users who choose to forward mail from their University email accounts are responsible for ensuring that all information, including attachments, is transmitted in its entirety to the preferred account.

Users are reminded that they may have additional legal and ethical responsibilities with respect to computer use beyond those given here. 1. the Registrar produce revised eligibility lists as soon as possible after the winter registration period, and that these lists be sent to the Athletic Director and Coaches of varsity teams.

2. Senate devise appropriate definitions for full and part-time undergraduate students, and that these definitions be placed in the section on general regulations in the Calendar.

ATAC Plasma Screen Policy

Preamble
There are Plasma Screens located around campus. The screens are used primarily to inform the University community of events happening within or outside the campus involving faculty, students, or staff. These include lectures, conferences, exhibits, seminars, press conferences, public forums, and book launches - all manner of activities that bring honour and prestige to the University, as well as encourage participation from the campus and the public.
