Throughout 2017 and 2018, Lakehead University’s Board of Governors sought input from the entire University community, including students, staff and faculty, the Ogimaawin-Indigenous Education Council, as well as partners and members of the communities we serve in Northwestern Ontario and Simcoe County, to help define Lakehead's strategy for the next five years.
This valuable input informed the key themes and objectives in the 2018-2023 Strategic Plan. The overarching goal of the Strategic Plan is to strengthen Lakehead University's vision of providing a transformational university experience grounded in exceptional scholarship and student potential. The Plan is built around five inter-related and interconnected strategic themes: academic excellence, social responsibility, local and global partnerships, entrepreneurship and innovation, and capacity development.
With the help and expertise of faculty and staff throughout our University community, we are well on our way to the successful implementation of this Strategic Plan.
