The Office of Human Rights and Equity is conducting a consultation with members of the Lakehead University community on a new human rights policy for students, faculty, and staff.

For the 2020 – 2021 academic year, we are conducting one-on-one interviews and focus groups to gather your thoughts and opinions on how human rights should be promoted and protected at Lakehead and what a human rights policy should include to further the rights of all members of our university community.

We are holding specific focus groups for members of under-represented and equity-seeking groups on issues such as race, colour, and ethnicity, religion and creed, gender identity and expression, and disability.

You can participate in one of the following ways

  1. Participate in a 30-minute one-on-one interview - Contact the Office of Human Rights and Equity to schedule a one-one-one interview at humanrights@lakeheadu.ca
  2. Participate in a focus group - Visit the Office of Human Rights and Equity’s website to register for a focus group
  3. Send written comments - Complete an anonymous online form and send to the Office of Human Rights and Equity

All of your responses are anonymous. We will not attribute your name or position to any of your responses in interviews, focus groups, or feedback forms.
