Lakehead University, Thunder Bay Campus, invites applications for one tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Health and Behavioural Sciences/ Department of Psychology. The academic rank of the appointment will be commensurate with the qualifications of the successful candidate. The position will commence on August 1, 2022.
The successful candidate will:
- Hold a doctorate degree in psychology before starting the position;
- Show evidence of an active research program in Social Psychology, Research Methodology (Qualitative and/or Quantitative), Neuroscience, or Developmental psychology;
- Demonstrate commitment to teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels and evidence of an effective teaching record, and potential for educational leadership; We are particularly seeking candidates with the ability to teach courses in quantitative or qualitative methodologies; Experience with experiential learning and online or alternative modes of delivery is highly desired.
- Demonstrate commitment to research and scholarship by providing evidence of peer-reviewed academic publications, academic conference presentations, and/or knowledge translation activities;
- Demonstrate capacity to provide effective research supervision at the graduate and undergraduate levels and participate in administrative functions of the department.
The Department of Psychology is located at the Thunder Bay campus.
