The Biorefining Research Institute of Lakehead University invites applications from qualified candidates for a one-year postdoctoral fellowship appointment in forest biorefining research field. The project involves the chemical modification of forest-based carbohydrate derivatives to be incorporated in film and coating applications suitable for food and electronic appliance packaging. The PDF will be supervised by Drs Fatehi and Liao. The desired qualification of the candidate is solid research experience in the chemical modification of biomass. The candidate should hold a PhD in chemical engineering, chemistry, biotechnology or related fields with publications in reputed journals of the fields.
