The Department of Economics at Lakehead University, Thunder Bay campus, invites applications for tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor. Applicants in all areas of Economics will be considered.

Applicants should have a strong interest in teaching and research. Candidates for this position should possess or be nearing completion of a Ph.D. degree in Economics. The successful applicant will be expected to teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels as well as supervise Master’s-level research projects. Applicants with innovative ideas and experience in teaching and recruiting undergraduates are particularly encouraged to apply. Experience with experiential learning and online or alternative modes of course delivery is highly desired. The expected start date is August 1, 2021. Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience.

The Department of Economics at Lakehead University is a dynamic group of active researchers. We are a small department with members involved in various externally funded research activities.
