The Faculty of Engineering seeks a dynamic self-initiating technologist dedicated to exemplary lab

instruction and guidance of students, housed in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Georgian

College, Barrie, Ontario.

The position reports to the Chair of the Department of Electrical Engineering. The position is expected

to start August 1, 2020

The incumbent will be responsible for the organization, development and control of assigned

laboratories, equipment maintenance and repair, prototyping, testing and construction and/or

purchase of required equipment, supervision and instruction of students in laboratories, marking of

laboratory reports, preparing, administering and evaluating laboratory quizzes to students and

assisting faculty and graduate students with their teaching and research. The incumbent will be

expected to work in laboratory environments with minimal supervision.

Minimum qualifications for the position is a technology diploma in electrical engineering with 3 years of related experience.  Higher degrees and professional registration are preferred.
