Lakehead University, Orillia Campus, invites applications for a Contract Lecturer in the Department of Economics. Applicants are requested to teach:

ECON 1100 YAO — Principles of Economics (Fall 2020 / Winter 2021)

Definition of the economic problem. Theory of the firm. Theory of competitive supply. Theory of demand. Monopoly and other market forms. Markets for land, labour, and capital. Income distribution. National income determination and causes of unemployment and inflation. Economic fluctuations and growth. International trade. Flexible and fixed foreign exchange rates. Canadian economic problems and policies.

Qualifications Preferred:  PhD in Economics or related field with significant expertise related to the topic they will be teaching. The minimum requirement is a Master’s degree. Experience with experiential learning and online or alternative modes of course delivery is highly desired.
