Position Available:              Trip Leader (Instructor/Facilitator/Risk Manager)

Position Duties:  Trip planning, leading a group on an extended canoe trip, facilitating field research, instructing various outdoor skills, interpreting natural and cultural features, group facilitation, risk management, logistics, and evaluation of students' knowledge and skills.

 

Position Qualifications:     The candidate must be a university or college graduate. Successful candidates must have excellent communication, planning, and instructional skills. Candidates should be exemplary teachers, have sound judgement and safety management skills and have extensive experience leading groups on extended, remote canoe trips. Preference will be given to individuals with current Wilderness First Responder and Swift Water Rescue certifications.
