Lakehead University, (Barrie Campus LU-GC Partnership Program), invites applications for one nine (9) month Limited Term Appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering.  The position will commence on September 1, 2019.

The successful candidate will teach three full-course equivalents (six half-credit courses) during the appointment period. The candidate is expected to teach existing undergraduate courses, develop and teach new courses, and demonstrate a strong teaching profile. Flexibility in undergraduate teaching of a diversity of courses is expected in the new program at Barrie.

The preferred candidates will have:

  1. An earned Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering or closely related disciplines, a baccalaureate degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering or a closely related discipline, post-doctoral or other relevant experience is an asset; and
  2. A demonstrated commitment to teaching at the undergraduate level and evidence of an effective and established teaching record and of educational leadership;

Preference will be given to the candidates registered as a Professional Engineer in Canada.
