Reporting to the Vice-President Administration and Finance, the Director Residence and Conference Services is a key member of the University leadership team, responsible for oversight of Food and Vending Services, Alcohol Services, Residence and Conference Services, campus mail services (Orillia only), as well as acts as the University Judicial Officer under the Code of Student Behaviour on both the Thunder Bay and Orillia sites. The Director Residence and Conference Services will provide vision and support in successful implementation of the University’s Strategic and Academic Plans as it relates to their areas of responsibility.

Candidates for this senior-level administrative position will be accomplished leaders with demonstrated experience in Residence, Conference, and Food and Alcohol Services within a university or the broader public sector. The successful candidate will have a Masters degree, advanced knowledge of the Tenant Protection Act, Hotel and Innkeepers Act, Liquor Act, and Health Code requirements. Knowledge of and experience with policy development and implementation, tendering of capital projects, administration of Food Services tenders and contracts, as well as budget management and overall fiscal stewardship are important assets.
