The Department of Electrical Engineering at Lakehead University, Thunder Bay Campus, is seeking to fill a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor commencing on August 1, 2018.

The successful candidate is expected to develop a strong, externally funded research program and supervise graduate students.  The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence, or promise of excellence in leadership, teaching, scholarly research and curricular innovation at the undergraduate and graduate levels in Electrical Engineering.

While the Department encourages all eligible applicants with an earned Ph.D. (or close to completion) in Electrical and Computer Engineering or closely related disciplines to apply for these positions, its needs are in the broad areas of 1.) Power Systems including renewable energy systems and power electronics and 2.) Digital Systems including advanced computing architectures. Relevant industrial and practical experience will be an asset.

Acquiring Professional Engineering registration in a province of Canada is a mandatory condition for employment in this position.
