Reporting to the Director, the Nursing Simulation Lab Coordinator applies specialized technical and practical skills to support faculty and students through the facilitation of learning environments and experiences that bridge the gap between theory and clinical practice.  Specific responsibilities include planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating simulation experiences designed to prepare students for challenging clinical situations as well as booking and coordinating the lab for various other purposes.  Additional responsibilities include the recruitment of prospective students, purchasing goods to meet program demands and the organization of internal and external services of support. 

The successful candidate has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing coupled with experience as a Registered Nurse in a clinical or community setting.  Specific qualifications include knowledge of clinical nursing and educational strategies/theories along with the ability to communicate effectively and to facilitate learner-centered environments.  Additionally, the incumbent has the technical knowledge and training to operate mannequins and related equipment such as cameras, monitors, audio and video recording. The successful candidate must also have knowledge of research and scholarship principles.
