The Technology Services Centre (TSC) combines the skills, knowledge and equipment to provide Academic and Administrative Computing, Information Services, Voice and Data Communications and Multimedia Services in the areas of learning and research.
Our goal is to assist the University in fulfilling its Academic mission, and to provide the support and guidance necessary to enhance the effectiveness of the institution in all its’ service offerings. With a team of over 30 highly trained and skilled individuals, the TSC remains committed to supporting and strengthening our students’ academic careers by providing University-wide access to information and technology resources.
|Thunder Bay And Orillia Help Desk||The Technology Services Centre (TSC) Helpdesk is the liaison between Lakehead University's IT services and users (Students, Faculty & Staff and by extension to guests and visitors).|
The Multimedia Staff provide a wide range of services from Teleconferencing and Video
|Desktop||The Desktop Support staff are here to repair university owned computer equipment.|
|ERP||ERP staff support the use of the Datatel enterprise software at Lakehead University.|
|Networking||The networking staff maintain a state of the art Network for data, voice and video communications.|
|Server Admin||The Server Administration Group is responsible for managing various server hardware, and software systems at Lakehead University.|
|LUVRE||LUVRE offers faculty and students unique experiences that are consistent with successful instructional strategies: hands-on learning, group projects and discussions, simulations and concept visualization.|
|HPC||The Lakehead University High Performance Computing Centre (LUHPCC) provides large scale computing resources to facilitate research, discovery and innovation in all academic fields of study.|
