Tutoring Support

In addition to writing and math help, peer tutoring is now coordinated through the Academic Support Zone (The AZ). The AZ also has group tutoring support for Business, Economics and Psychology Statistics. Sunday afternoons are set aside for Engineering tutoring support. Please check back the second week of classes to view an updated schedule.

Students wishing to become tutors should check the SSC website Events Calendar to see dates for Information Sessions.

How do I request a Peer Tutor?

Effective November 2. 2016, when you request a Peer Tutor, you will be required to book AND attend an appointment with a Student Success Advisor in the Student Success Centre (SSC).

Once your appointment is complete your tutoring request will be processed.

To book an appointment, please call the Student Success Centre at (807) 343-8018 or visit us in SC 0008 (located down the hall from LUSU and Campus Tech, and across from the Gender Issues Centre and the Aboriginal Awareness Centre).

How To Request A Peer Tutor:

To sign up for a tutor, you MUST fully complete and submit the following online form in order for us to be able to process your tutoring request:

Please allow for 24 to 48 hours for a follow up e-mail to explain what your next steps are.

Once you have had your meeting with a Student Success Advisor and have been provided with the Peer Tutor's information, it is your responsibility to contact your tutor, make the appointment, and keep your scheduled tutoring times. If no tutor is available, Academic Support Zone & the Student Success Centre will do everything they can do procure a tutor in your requested area.
